Computer Science students rewarded for their hard work

Students at LAE Tottenham gained noted accreditation within the cybersecurity profession, gaining automatic membership to the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP), an organisation which aims to advance the professionalism of the information security industry.

With the rapid growth of cyber threats in today's internet-dependent world, it has never been more important to ensure that the best people are available to defend businesses and society from those that would seek to undermine our way of life and future prosperity. Information security professionals are at the forefront of this fight and need a broad range of skills to fully address the multitude and complexity of the issues we see today.

Our students have also shown amazing insight and talent with cyber security and have deservedly been rewarded with membership. In addition, they have also earned an AS qualification with Qufaro, City & Guilds and CyberSecurity.

This is an exciting and well-paid field of computer science.  With the explosion of threats in recent years, there is a significant shortage of high-calibre information security professionals. The UK's National Audit Office recently warned that a lack of skilled workers is hampering the UK's fight against cybercrime and that it could take up to 20 years to address the skills gap at all levels of education.

Congratulations to our Year 13 students listed below for being rewarded and recognised for their hard work.
