Music Performances at Lorenco House

This academic year, many of our Year 12 music students have made several rewarding visits to Lorenco House, a local care home that provides residential care for individuals with dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health conditions, and older people. On each trip, our students have performed music for the residents, consistently bringing their musical talents and vibrant spirits to the home.
Across these visits, the students' energy and positivity have been truly infectious. They've encouraged residents to sing along, clap their hands, and even dance, creating an atmosphere of joy and connection. Our students have presented themselves as excellent ambassadors for the school, demonstrating kindness, care, and immense respect for every resident they've interacted with.
These regular musical performances have not only provided entertainment but also fostered wonderful, ongoing connections between our students and the Lorenco House community.
“I have performed at Lorenco House several times over the past few months, and every time I do, I enjoy it so much! It's so lovely and heartwarming to see some joining in and even dancing. It's a wonderful way to brighten everyone's day!”

“I have enjoyed being able to provide some additional musical cheer to Lorenco House. Every visit was a sweet and fun experience, singing with the older people in a light-hearted manner. These interactions were so wholesome & I would recommend participating at least once in these lovely sessions.”
