Student Spotlight: Emily Moldoveanu’s ‘Expression’
Emily Moldoveanu’s Expression channels raw feeling, placing emotion above musical convention.
Earlier this year, one of our talented Y12 musicians, Emily Moldoveanu, composed and performed an original piano piece titled Expression - a piece that has since become a standout feature in the latest edition of the Tottenham Phoenix Magazine.
Written for LAET’s Open Mic Night, themed around love, Emily’s piece is a raw and stirring interpretation of feeling through sound.
“I called this piece ‘Expression’ because it's deeply influenced by the Expressionist movement, allowing me to concentrate on raw feeling rather than the confines of structure or music theory.”
The recording captures not only the mood of the evening but also Emily’s unique ability to translate emotion into composition. We’re proud to showcase her work as part of LAET’s celebration of creative student talents.
